Overview

  • Cartridge collectors force you to buy, replace and dispose of filter media again and again. This unit captures dust with a continuous water film and spray mist instead, so no filter cartridges are needed. The recirculating pump keeps the scrubbing water in use, and the only consumable is water. Wet scrubbing removes the recurring filter cost from your operating budget.
  • Many workshops run several grinding or polishing stations at once, and a single small collector cannot keep up. The central inlet manifold splits the dirty airflow into two channels feeding the twin cyclone bodies equally. Both chambers spin the air and throw particles to the wetted wall in parallel, moving more air while separation stays stable under continuous operation.
  • Grinding and polishing generate hot sparks together with fine dust. Inside each cyclone, a continuous water film covers the inner wall, so particles and sparks thrown outward by the vortex are wetted and washed down to the collection bin. The wet surface leaves no dry area for dust to bounce back into the air stream, and hot particles are cooled in the water film.
  • Maintenance stops production, so the faster it is, the better. Glass viewing windows on the collection bin let operators check the dust level without opening the unit. Bolted access doors open the bin for thorough cleaning, and the discharge valve drains collected slurry and settled dust from the side. Routine checks take minutes and keep the collector running between shifts.
  • Wet collectors face constant contact with water, slurry and humidity, which is hard on ordinary steel. This unit is built from stainless steel with TIG welding and polished inner surfaces, so the wetted walls resist corrosion and stay smooth. The braced frame and control box complete a package that keeps its capture performance and appearance for years of workshop duty.

  • Will a cyclone alone meet my emission limit?

    Usually not. Cyclones are efficient on coarse particles but let fine dust through. If you have a stack limit to meet, use the cyclone as a pre-separator and follow it with a bag or cartridge filter.

  • When is a cyclone the right choice on its own?

    When you are recovering material rather than meeting an emission limit — grain, chips, granulate — and the particles are large and heavy.

  • How much does it reduce baghouse running cost?

    By taking the heavy fraction out first it substantially extends bag life. The exact benefit depends on your dust loading and particle distribution.

  • Can it be lined for wear?

    Yes. For highly abrasive duty we can increase plate thickness or add wear lining at the impact zone.
